Hello and welcome, I'm so pleased that you have found my new home on the internet.
My name is Louise and I'm an enthusiastic (some would say obsessed) sock knitter. Fortunately I have a husband and two young boys who will wear as many stripy socks as I care to make. They are equally tolerant of my ever expanding yarn stash - which threatens to take over our small home in rural Essex.
I returned to knitting a few years ago, after learning as a child and after discovering Ravelry I rapidly moved on from sweaters and scarves to shawls, socks and a whole host of other exciting projects. Socks (and lovely hand dyed sock yarn) have become my first love though and over time this passion of mine has expanded into pattern design and teaching and now consumes most of my waking thoughts.
I love to knit and design socks but I'm also a fan of shawls, mitts and other hand knit accessories - you can never have too many in your wardrobe as far as I'm concerned.
One of the things I love most about knitting is the community it has brought me into contact with. Whether its online through KAL's or at fibre festivals and meet ups, I am never happier that when talking about my favourite subject with other knitters or crafters. I feel very lucky to be part of such a vibrant and supporting community. Knitters Rock!
All of my patterns can be found for sale in my ravelry store.
In addition to designing I also offer knitting tuition either one-to-one or in small classes. If you are interested in hiring me, please just drop me and email and we can discuss requirements
I also love to work with and support many independent dyers and yarn producers we have here in the UK. If you are interested in a future potential design collaborations please do get in touch. I would love to chat it over with you.
