Every month I'd like to focus on a different design, giving you a little more background to the pattern and sharing a little of my inspiration.

January's Featured Pattern

This month I'd like to talk about the Seatoller Socks. This is particularly apt as I am in the same place now as I was a year ago when this design was on the needles.

Nestled at the very head of the Borrowdale valley in the Lake District is Seatoller. A tiny hamlet of a few cottages and a farm, right at the foot of the Honister Pass. Every year my little family hole up here for the New Year. Relaxing, playing and spending time together as our boys grow and change. These socks were perfect for relaxing holiday knitting. The tight, woven Celtic-style cable being a nod to the Norse heritage of this picturesque place we are happy to call our temporary home.

As with all my patterns - you can find them for sale on my Ravelry page: Here.
